Meet Lesley McGill

My name is Lesley McGill, and I am The Saddle Doctor, a Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitter and Saddler. I saddle fit all over BC, Vancouver Island, and Alberta in my fully equipped cube van. Working with everyone from beginners all the way up to the Olympic-level riders, I help to maximise the comfort and performance of horses and their riders. I also work with the Para Equestrian Dressage riders based in BC.

I am happy to work with everyone, at all levels and in all disciplines. While the majority of my clients are dressage riders (based on the intense relationship between horse and rider), I work with eventers, show jumpers, endurance riders, western riders, pleasure riders, pony clubbers, and anyone who is riding a horse with a saddle!

Since 1999

Lesley McGill received her full Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitters accreditation in 2007 (as well as her City and Guilds approval) , after completing over three years of apprenticing, then take a series of tough practical and written assessments and exams. She also completed a full apprenticeship in leather/canvas/ and harness making in New Zealand.

NSC Brand saddles stand apart because there is no middleman. I design, ride in, and sell the saddles. I work directly with my saddle makers in the UK travelling back and forth twice a year to control quality and designs. At NSC we have taken everything we had issues with while selling other brands and made solutions.
